Introduction
The Major of Architectural Engineering in the School of Urban Architecture began as the Major of Architectural Engineering in the College of Engineering with the opening of Incheon University in March 1979, and was reorganized into the Major of Architectural Engineering in the School of Urban Architecture, College of Urban Sciences in March 2010.
The Architectural Engineering major focuses on educating students in engineering technology within the field of architecture, and its primary educational goal is to cultivate creative and practical urban architecture professionals who will lead future cities. To this end, a faculty of eight professors currently operates a four-year curriculum designed to build specialized expertise in three detailed advanced tracks—structural materials, digital construction management, and the built environment and facilities—along with the fundamental competencies commonly required across architecture.
As of February 2023, the Architectural Engineering major has produced a total of 41 graduating classes, and these graduates have entered various fields such as companies and research institutes, playing a role as key talents leading the future construction industry.
