The Dept. of Public Administration studies and researches not only internal organizational issues arising from the management of public service or public enterprises, but also how civil servants and public enterprise employees address public issues in their relationships with civil society.

The Dept. of Public Administration studies not only the traditional foundations of public administration—personnel administration, administrative organization, and financial administration—but also various fields of administration that have developed to reflect the diverse needs of society, such as policy studies, e-government, urban and local administration, quantitative administration, administrative management, government regulation, administrative philosophy, administrative history, comparative administration, and welfare administration.

Recently, reflecting the trend of expanding the scope of administrative activities, the curriculum has been expanded and reorganized to include government innovation, civil society, regional development, environmental administration, and cultural administration. In addition, alongside these major subjects, students also study other academic fields such as research methodology, economics, political science, and law to cultivate the qualities of a social scientist.

In this way, the Dept. of Public Administration focuses on expanding basic competencies by studying a wide range of fields, while simultaneously broadening expertise by studying the major field in depth.

The purpose of this is to foster global administrative professionals equipped with a strong spirit of service dedicated to serving the community and the people, as well as outstanding problem-solving abilities and leadership.
